The Indiana State Department of Health funds 47 community health centers that have ninety locations throughout the state.  Eighteen of the 47 are federally qualified health centers and 11 are rural health clinics.

These health centers must provide primary care services to individuals regardless of their ability to pay.  State-funded health centers must adjust their fees to accommodate a family's income and display a sliding fee scale within the facility.
